Can I connect the camera to a tablet?

In most cases the answer is no, the camera has USB port, you would need an OTG cable or in case of type C port, you would need a type C hub or type C to USB adaptor, even then it is unlikely that the camera will get detected by tablet as it doesn't have drivers unlike in a laptop or desktop.

is the body made of plastic / metal or a mix of both?

The entire body is made of metal, with grey plastic covers (on items photo, each side of base & behind the head) in a few places probably just to give the microscope a more appealing look. It`s a very solid piece of kit.

Is it compatible with an apple mac and can you see diatoms in detail ??

Yes use with a Mac. Can download Mac software from Makers website. Was not easy to navigate, so may need to Contact for help. has very good magnification.

Can we see maleria parasite

Yes you can...i saw my white and red blood cells and they are with size 6microns when malaria parasite is with size around 20microns
