I have found these microphones indispensable for creating content with my iPhone recently! The audio is crystal clear. I have used them versus recording audio with my phone and the difference is night and day. The fuzzy mic cover I've found is best for avoiding picking up sounds around you and the foam mic cover is best for using when you have quiet around you. I say this because if you don't need to avoid picking up sounds around you (people talking in the next room or leaf blowers outside), it's better to use the foam mic; I've found that the fuzzy mic cover can sometimes make a little noise from rubbing on my clothes (bulky sweater) so I've had to rerecord because of this, so that's something to be expected and to keep in mind. The receiver that you plug into your phone's charging port doesn't require batteries and if plugged in has a port so you can charge your iPhone while also recording audio, which is a great feature. Something else to keep in mind, if you have the reciever plugged in, your phone with NOT record audio, you NEED to have one of the mics turned on or your audio will not be heard. The mics themselves can be charged, but the receiver does not (I assume it draws power from the phone when in use). The mics came charged out of the box and I've used them a handful of times and I still have not had to charge them yet. This mic kit comes with 4 replacement foam mic covers which is great for me since I prefer them over the fuzzy mic covers. I've taken a photo of everything the kit comes with: 4 foam mic covers with carrying case, 2 fuzzy mic covers, 2 clip-on mics, one receiver, and one power cord all neatly packed in a nice little box (also included but not shown are instructions and a quick use guide). My biggest complaint about this product as great as it is... the clips are not very robust. They are pretty small. But so are the mics, so I'm not sure if I would like them much larger either. Still, something to keep in mind. I wore a bulky sweater last time I recorded content and the mic was a little floppy so not the best fit for clothing of this type. Overall, these mics are great quality and I'm very happy with them. I would buy them again in the future.

I purchased these around the beginning of June. I’ve had them for about a month now. I wanted to really give them some use and time before giving my feedback. I’m just coming into the world of creating social media videos. I needed something simple and durable, yet effective. The ease of use was outstanding. It’s basically a plug and play (plug it in and go). I have a iPhone 12 Pro Max. The back of the box states compatible with iOS 12 and above. When recording my first video, I was trying to show the audio difference with the mic versus without and I had the lighting adapter in the whole time. It didn’t record the first part of my audio, so make sure you don’t plug the adapter in until you are ready to record with the microphones. It comes with two microphones, two windsocks, 4 regular foam mic covers. The windsocks are great! The helped filter out the additional sounds and to focus on just my voice. I’m highly impressed. I would absolutely buy these again. They are well worth the money.

*update: Leetus sent me a replacement that was by their new manufacturer, and it is an improvement. It looks a little different (see video) and I really like the new clip that attaches to the Mike with a very strong magnet. Like the old one it is very easy to use right out of the box. The sound is still a little distorted when input is loud (hence minus one star), but is very decent for the price! I found the sound quality to be very poor, no matter how long I charged it, how loud or soft, or how far from my mouth I spoke, it was distorted. This was with my iPhone, that has a fairly decent built in Mike, but I was hoping for a Mike that would work farther away and to not pick up so much background sound. The reviews were good so I was optimistic, but ultimately disappointed I am returning.

Update: they sent me a new one for free because the one I received initially was made with a manufacturer they no longer use due to defects like I experienced. Seriously the most considerate and kind customer service ever. What more could one ask for? What I love about this specific product is that I like to really become each character in the book with sometimes wacky, loud, soft, weird, quiet accents (etc) and this is the first mic set that actually evens out those differences without me having to move the mic further and closer. It makes a big difference and far less editing on the back end. Original Review: The very first time I used this it worked perfectly. I was using this to record my own audiobook and planned to use it from the start of the book to the end. The first time using it was seamless. I plugged the base into my phone, turned the mic on, and started recording. It made a huge difference in quality of the recordings from the very beginning. Unfortunately, after that first time, it would not work at all unless the base part was plugged into the phone AND charging on the wall at the same time. This causes enormous limitations and frustrations to the process. As if that weren’t inconvenient enough, the microphones themselves can’t hold a charge for more than 15mins at a time and they also can’t be used while they’re charging. So it becomes impossible to be productive in any way because if it isn’t the battery dying, it’s the lack of consistency in the quality of the recordings and the frustration of having to find a way to charge everything while recording.

I had these mics for about 2 months so I can give an honest review. First off, the mics itself. They work very good. I honestly thought when turning both mics on would lower the quality of the voices but it doesn’t and reduces the background noise quite a bit. Not a lot but enough to where it doesn’t sound like a weird static in the background. As for the clips, I wish they could open just a bit more but if you are wearing a hoodie or a shirt, they fit perfectly and I’ve used them on 4 different hoodies and never had a problem with them. We have used them to record 30 minute segments and I never saw an issue with them. Make sure the light is green when connected to the phone once you start recording. It comes with these things to put on the microphone if you don’t like the fuzzy thingy but honestly the fuzzy thing makes it cooler in my opinion. We do record pack openings and duels and they pick up the sound of the packs very crispy and good and record the duel very good. Honestly for the price, I would definitely say justified. If you are on a budget, I would say these are good starter mics, just don’t overcharge them because the battery can mess up but they don’t take that much to charge as from what I can tell. About 30 minutes I have charged them and they work perfectly.

The sound quality isn't amazing, but it does drown out noise in the background. I particularly did not like the more bass notes in my voice that it picks up (I'm female) and kind of amplifies them. I think it sounds horrid in videos and like someone's tapping on my throat with a doctor's triangular hammer. Blech. However, you get what you pay for, and I understand that. The connection is very simple and has never failed me. Both mics work when being connected simultaneously. If you want something that mediocre-ly gets the job done, this is faithful. Volume wise, a little too loud when pinned on my shirt, even when I pinned it to my belly button. I had to pin it to a makeup container and hold that out a little in front of me to have a good sound. It's very light weight, so that's a plus. Not bad, but not that great either. But if your main deal is drowning out noise, this only caught my voice and not the heating/cooling system in my house (that hums so loudly) or the washer/dryer. Great for low budget peeps, but I would rather just save my money to buy something of actual quality.

Feb 2025 Update: Manufacturer graciously contacted me via email, noted they changed/improved their manufacturing process and sent me a new test device kit. These mics now worked great and had excellent pickup sensitivity and worked ~15 feet away. Plug & play video recording on my iPhone 13 Pro. I could tell the receiver that plugs in via lightning had likely been built more sturdy and improved. Changing to 4/5 stars - this seems to now be a 5/5 experience as far as expectations, however 1- star b/c still was not usable when I ordered for the wedding when I initially ordered. I will use for future events, and appreciate the high integrity of the seller to follow up months later proactively and send the new device. (Just be sure to leave time to charge the microphones before your event!) July 2024 (old review): Product did not connect; receiver was not recognized by my iPhone (13 Pro/latest iOS). also tried on my mother’s iPhone and iPad, also didn’t work. Tried it on Phone, FaceTime, and Zoom on each device. So that is 3 iOS devices x 3 apps. tells me it’s the device itself. Ordered a similar device & left similar review ended up being from same Chinese manufacturer (just labeled as different brand..) and also didn’t work; be wary of these mics. This was for a wedding to film and pick up audio and we had to go without.

In a previous review I had issues with the charging via the adapter to the phone. It is an iPhone lightening adapter and just needed a good push. The sound quality is ok for most purposes.
