Smart, Fun & Educational
It’s a perfect combination of entertainment and learning. The talking feature makes the game more engaging and interactive, especially for beginners and kids, while still being fun and challenging for adults. The board is well-made, responsive, and easy to use. The smart functions, multiple difficulty levels, and training modes make it great for improving chess skills at any level. I love how it provides guidance, feedback, and suggestions — it really feels like having a personal chess coach at home. It’s also great for solo play when you don’t have a partner, and the computer opponent is surprisingly smart.

nice chess
Unboxing the P6 Electronic Chess Computer feels like stepping into a more interactive way to master the game. At roughly 12.6 inches, it’s a compact powerhouse that strikes a nice balance between portability and playability. While the 8.8-inch game area is a bit smaller than a tournament board, the strong magnetic adsorption is a lifesaver—it keeps the game intact whether you're playing on a bumpy train or just moving from the couch to the table. The standout experience is the Training Mode. With its combination of light prompts and voice announcements, it removes the intimidation factor for beginners. Having 200 built-in puzzles and a hint button (?) makes it feel less like a cold machine and more like a patient tutor. For those looking to climb the ranks, the 18 difficulty levels (scaling up to 1700 ELO) provide a legitimate challenge for intermediate players without being impossible to beat. The inclusion of extra queens and a dedicated rechargeable cable shows a thoughtful design for long-term use. Whether you’re using the "Human" mode for a classic two-player match or grinding against the AI to sharpen your skills, this board turns a solitary hobby into a smart, guided journey. It’s a solid, travel-friendly companion for anyone looking to ditch the screen and get back to the physical board. Would you like me to draft a quick "Quick Start Guide" based on these specs to help you get playing faster?

Awesome chess trainer
Been years since I played chess and this allows me to shake off the cobwebs without embarrassment. Great for a beginner or intermediate players with adjust training and skill levels to play against. The board looks great and the under board led light are awesome. Feels like it's made well and the piece stick during movement. Pick one up for a new or seasoned player

A few potential changes could make it better
Theres a few things that make this product a bit obtuse. First and foremost is when youre playing match mode, a bright blue light keeps flashing. Trying to concentrate, i have no idea why anyone thought this was a good idea.. Second off, the pieces (namely bishop and pawn) look too similar. With the modeling they use, a few times ive mistaken one for the other. Especially with glass pieces which are somewhat seethrough. Made a mistake? Sometimes the game makes a mistake for you and forces you to move to a spot you didnt want. Not in a check mate kind of way, but it somewhat glitches out. Happened to me twice in 4 games. You may think hitting the button that goes back to the previous move is the answer, but youd be wrong! Trying to use the back button is a nightmare. Constantly blurting the "err-err" as youve pressed a button that wont let you do what you want. As well, trying to choose a difficulty level is ridiculous. Instead of saying "level 1... level 2" which the manual tells you the ELO rating for those, or displaying highlighted squares for you to see "okay 3 squares, level 3" it kind of does this but level 10 youll have squares all over the board, sometimes under pieces. Its making choosing a level more difficult than it needs to be. The size is a bit big for carry. I get it, its a computer, so I cant complain there. But it feels like if I put it in my bag to take anywhere and its not in its way-too-oversized box then itll get crushed. Thats just the feel, mind you. It might actually be very sturdy. Unfortunately i reeaaally wanted to like this board but im having a hard time. On the plus side its a usb charging so theres that. And its a chess board so there's kudos. The board certainly will take you to 1700 ELO. The difficulty level is no joke! But its so uncomfortable to play that its just not great yet. The company did reply back to me and so I am updating the review. I appreciate food customer service and they definitely are prompt.

Nice
This Vonset electronic chessboard performs quite well overall. In terms of quality, the board feels sturdy, and the transparent chess pieces are a nice touch, though they have a slight plastic feel. Still, it's worth the price. It's very easy to use, with clear button layouts and helpful LED indicators, making it beginner-friendly and great for learning or playing against the computer. As for value for money, it offers plenty of features at this price point, especially the teaching and hint functions, which are incredibly useful for beginners—it's like having a personal coach without the extra cost. The design is modern and sleek, with a blend of classic and innovative elements. It looks stylish and adds a nice touch to any space. The size is just right—compact enough for a table yet easy to store. Functionality-wise, it supports multiple difficulty levels, making it suitable for players of all skill levels, and the voice prompts and teaching features are very practical. Overall, this chessboard is perfect for beginners or anyone looking to improve their skills. It's fun, practical, and a great value, though the chess pieces' material could be slightly better. Still, at this price, it's an excellent deal!

Great for kids and very parent-friendly
Bought this for my older child at first, but it turned out to be perfect for my younger one (under 1000 rating). He really enjoys playing with it and uses it almost every day. It’s great because kids can play on their own without parents sitting next to them, and it’s a nice break from screens. The board and pieces are well made and easy to use.Highly recommended for beginners and young chess learners.

Good
I bought this chess set as a birthday gift for my son. It features built-in AI opponents, voice prompts, and other smart functions—every move is accompanied by both voice and light notifications, which is truly cool! The pieces are also magnetized at the base, so they won't fall off even if the board is turned upside down; it’s perfect for playing at home or taking along on trips

Do Not Buy!
I really wanted to like this product. The reputation of the company and the product was good, however things did not go according to plan. First, the computer keeps saying certain moves are illegal when they are in fact legal. Example: It acknowledges the P-K4 opening move for the pawn, but any subsequent moves for pawns are only one space at a time. It is perfectly legal to move another pawn TWO SPACES if it is that pawns first move. Computer said this was illegal. I've played Chess for nearly 60 years. It's legal. Second, the instruction manual that accompanies the product is unnecessarily confusing. I could not get the level of play to change. I had a total of 4 other people try and none of us could get the level of play to increase or decrease, despite following the directions. Third, the chess pieces, though quite nice, have very similar looks. It's easy to confuse the King with the Queen for example. That one is relatively minor and in time could be overcome, but it is annoying. There is a lot right with this product. I did like the size of the board and the chess pieces (though some look too much alike). I know others who have gotten this same product and have had zero issues. They recommended this item to me. I wanted to use it to teach chess to my grandkids and to use the various chess levels to improve my game. However, this product will be returned. Oh, and speaking of the returns. I have to provide my own shipping box because the original shipping box was damaged in shipping, so thanks for that Amazon. I had examined the product for damage upon receipt, but it looked okay and the actual box containing the game was undamaged. The filler used in the larger box prevented further damage.

great product for chess lovers
I am very happy with this P6 electronic chess board. It makes playing chess much more fun and interesting, especially when I want to practice by myself. The LED lights are clear and very helpful, as they guide the moves and make the game easy to follow. I really like the magnetic chess pieces because they stay in place and do not move around during play. The board is easy to use once I get started, and it feels great to have a smart chess board at home. I can play anytime without needing another person, which is perfect for practice and learning. It also helps me improve my skills because the computer opponent is always available. The design looks clean and modern, and it does not take up too much space. Everything works smoothly, and the board responds well during games. It feels well made and reliable for regular use. Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase. It is a great product for chess lovers, both beginners and casual players. I would happily recommend it, and I think it is well worth the money.
